The Mount Tahoma High School senior awards program for the Class of 2007 was
held June 6. Members of the board of directors for the Crystal Judson Brame
Memorial Scholarship attended the event to announce this year’s scholarship
recipient, Kim Stuart.
The scholarship selection committee labored to narrow their decision down to
one person. In the end, Kim Stuart was the standout applicant. Kim’s essay
demonstrated a well-rounded student striving to succeed. Kim will attend the
University of Arkansas in the fall. He is interested in pursuing studies in
psychology and criminal justice.
The board of directors wishes continued success for Kim throughout his
academic and professional career and congratulates him on his outstanding
achievements.
Awarding this scholarship in honor of Crystal was an exhilarating moment for
the board of directors. The board is even more determined to establish an
endowment to finance multiple scholarships each year. The Crystal Challenge
Golf Tournament fund-raiser on August 25 will help them to meet that goal.
Event organizers are currently seeking sponsors and golfers to participate
in this year’s event.
